East Boca - Kitchen Facilitator (Monday - Saturday mornings)

This volunteer assists in prepping and cooking meals for our Hot Meals Program. This initiative provides a hot nutritious meal to individuals. The volunteer for this position must:  Follow directions from our Kitchen Lead. Clean and wash any dirty dishes, pots or pans, if assigned to this station. Has to know their way around the kitchen (cut, dice and chop, the basics of cooking). Leave when the kitchen is properly cleaned and shift ends.

East Boca - Lunch Facilitation (Inclusive of Sandwich Makers, Soup and Misc)

This volunteer is part of the Pantry Program. They assist the kitchen and pantry line volunteers with our client's meals and pantry bags. Our Pantry Program helps families provide meals for their households. Able to work in a team setting. Packing items for our client's hot meals. Packing items for our client's pantry bags. Helping in other number of activities in the Food Center.

VOLUNTEERS MUST WEAR SNEAKERS OR TENNIS SHOES (NO CROCS OR SLIP-INS), T-SHIRT WITH SLEEVES (NO CROP TOPS)  AND SHORTS/PANTS (KNEE LENGTH AND BELOW)
Volunteers must wear either a baseball cap or hair net

East Boca - Meat and Produce Warehouse Associate (Monday - Saturday)

This volunteer assist in the Meat and Produce Warehouse. The tasks include sorting and packing meat and produce for Boca Helping Hands' clients. These items are distributed as part of our Pantry Program which assists families with groceries to make meals for their households. Able to work in a team setting. Sorting and packing meat and produce items that will be distributed to the families.

Sorting and collect items for the pantry bags that will be distributed to the families. Stocking up items for pantry bags that will be distributed to the families. Able to lift 5 pounds (lbs)Minimum age 12. Individuals between ages 12 - 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Duties include the following:

Able to follow directions from the Kitchen Leads. Clean and wash any dirty dishes, pots or pans, if assigned to this station. Pantry Line Distribution iPad Check-In Associate

Welcoming and checking in our registered clients through our pantry distribution line, our Pantry Program helps families living at or below the poverty level with groceries to make meals for their households. Check-in registered clients on a tablet as they drive through the pantry distribution lineMust be comfortable using an iPad. Have a willingness to be of service to our clients.

Assist in the packaging of hot meals, desserts and dinner rolls.

Basic knowledge of food safety and preparation required.
