This volunteer assists in prepping and cooking meals for our Hot Meals Program. This initiative provides a hot nutritious meal to individuals. The volunteer for this position must:  Follow directions from our Kitchen Lead. Clean and wash any dirty dishes, pots or pans, if assigned to this station. Has to know their way around the kitchen (cut, dice and chop, the basics of cooking). Leave when the kitchen is properly cleaned and shift ends.

VOLUNTEERS MUST WEAR SNEAKERS OR TENNIS SHOES (NO CROCS OR SLIP-INS), T-SHIRT WITH SLEEVES (NO CROP TOPS)  AND SHORTS/PANTS (KNEE LENGTH AND BELOW)

Help prepare meals for our Friday Night Dinner program, serving clients in the Lake Worth community.

During this shift, volunteers may assist with:

Basic food prep (cutting, chopping, portioning) Cooking support under the direction of our Kitchen Lead Cleaning dishes, pots, and kitchen areas Helping ensure the kitchen is clean and organized at the end of the shift

This is a hands-on kitchen role that directly supports meal service for families in need.

Requirements:

Must be 16 years or older Must be comfortable working in a team environment Basic kitchen skills are helpful (no advanced experience required)
